Baby Bump Update

How far along: 15 weeks. Friday we went for our checkup. Measuring 13 weeks. Heartrate was 142!

Gender: December 8th we will find out. Addie Rivers wants a sister. Hardy wants a brother. Mom and Dad just want a healthy baby! (Secretly daddy wants a boy though)

Maternity Clothes: somewhat. I have bought a few pairs of maternity leggings from old navy. And ugg boots. I don't like the cold and I'm alllllll about being comfy :)

Sleep: normal. I'm thankful AR is still napping a good 11/2 to 2 hours.

Cravings: plain greek yogurt. All day everyday. Starbucks hot chocolate. Only starbucks

Symptoms: I feel pretty great now that we are in the second trimester other than back pain.

Mood: excited! Can't wait to find out what this little one will be! Although when I get cranky Barrett says "yeah you are pregnant. A bad mood." ;)

Best Moment this week: dr's visits always make me super happy when we get to check on baby. Also spending time with Rivs. She's been such a mama'a girl lately and I am enjoying every minute!

Looking forward to: finding out the gender!

Exercise: still running. I've cut back to about three days a week instead of five but walking the two other days. I have realized that working out helps with the back aches! Our Dr. told me to continue exercising as long as I can. Last pregnancy I didn't at all. Three months after having her I regretted not doing some type of workout (and regretted the ice cream every night :/ )

940 Saturdays

Last night we had our sweet Addie Rivers  dedication at church. Barrett's parents and my parents were able to join us on such a special night and we are so thankful they were able to be here with us!
Barrett and I were able to write a letter to AR and read it to her during our time that night. Even though she had no idea what we were talking about we enjoyed sitting down together and thinking of all of the things we want for her in life. ( and thank you to my sweet husband who read the letter out loud! Daddy speaks in front of crowds often. Mama would have been a nervous wreck!)
During the time our pastor was talking he made a comment about how many weeks we have left with our littles at home. There were six children involved in the dedication last night. Each child has a jar of marbles at the end of the stage. The marbles represent the weeks we have left with our children at home. Every week we take a marble out of the jar and throw it in the trash. Once the week is over good or bad we will never have it back. Our jar is now sitting in our home with the letter we wrote at the very bottom of the jar. I think every week when we remove a marble I'll probably have a breakdown :(
Right now I get to stay home with Addie Rivers. She goes to school three mornings a week. Some days we have great days and some days I get overwhelmed but at the end of each day I realize how lucky I am to get to be with her all day everyday. I get to see all of the sweet and funny things she says, I get to have dance parties at 8am, and some days I even get a good nap in :)
In May we will get to add another little to our bunch. I can't wait to be mommy to another. But right now I'm enjoying the days Addie Rivers and I have together because starting in May it will never just be mommy and Addie Rivers alone together everyday. Everyday she looks at my belly and says "hey baby, what doing? I change you diaper? Ok love you. Now a kiss!" I know she will be such an amazing big sister.
Barrett and I are so thankful God has chosen us to be Addie Rivers parents. She brings us so much joy!!!

Orange Beach 2014

Orange Beach 2014.

This was our second year to go on our vacation to Orange Beach. Barrett goes to the Administrators conference for Heritage Academy and thankfully we get to tag along.

While he goes to meetings for 3 hours the kiddos and I get to play at the pool and beach. Sounds fun right? Making sure they both have tons of sunscreen. Packing all of the toys and snacks. Oh and having to hold the 2 year old almost the entire time because she is fearless and THINKS she is as big as brother. Numerous times she attempted to jump in the pool (with her floaties) alone. A nervous wreck I was!

BUT I would have much rather been doing that and not be in meetings all morning. Sorry daddy.

The weather was not exactly what I wanted. More rain than we would have liked and the sun always seemed to be shining when we would go in for AR’s nap. After nap time? Pretty much more rain.

Barrett and I love Destin but we will take any beach trip without complaining! On the way we stopped at Ed’s Shed to eat because daddy is obsessed with their fried shrimp. AR was much more concerned with looking at the water and drinking her sweet tea. These days she could care less about food. I really don’t get it. She has always been a little pig.

Of course Mom waited too long to try to find a puddle jumper. Daddy went to publix when we got there. I personally would not have picked this jumper to put my child in. Daddies are clueless when it comes to getting cute things. He did a good job on the Minnie Mouse arm floaties! The jumper wasn’t my favorite but hey it worked great. And AR had a nice tan line on her chunky little legs. :)

I must admit this year was WAY easier than last year. AR was only 9 months old and the beach was impossible without Barrett’s help.  This year Hardy was such a big help! “I’ll carry the bag for you because I’m strong. And I’m strong because I’m six.” Love him too much.

My favorite thing to do is watch them together. It makes me the happiest

The best thing we did was getting AR a crib in our condo. She will only sleep in bed. Alone. Even when we try to get her to nap in our bed she is not having it. Seriously the crib was the best thing.

Oh and the kindle with our Disney junior app for the hour and thirty minute wait at dinner. ick.

Our beach trip felt way too short but it was so fun. I loved every second of being with my three favorite people. :)

The Donahoe's

The Donahoe’s

Our world revolves around two tiny people. A six year old and  almost two year old. Oh and football.

Daddy is a football coach/athletic director/student/best daddy in the world.
He is currently working on his masters and we could not be more proud of him!!

I get to stay home every day with our sweet girl. Between tea parties, park days, and about 50 play dates a week we are BUSY. I also have a stationery business called Paper Tailor. Be sure to check it out!!

Our (not so little) boy has the sweetest heart of anyone I know. He gives dad and me more than 100 hugs in a three day period. He loves helping. One minute he is helping daddy outside and the next he is inside helping me cook. He is like any other six year old that loves to play his wii. If we let him he would choose to play it all.day. We LOVE our time!

Our tiny princess thinks she rules our house. She talks probably more than the average three year old. In full sentences that you can pretty much understand every word. It’s a daily struggle between her Disney princesses and Thomas the Train. I never have any available storage on my phone. 6,000 pictures and I have uploaded twice to the computer since she has been born. I’d say roughly 18,000 pictures in 21 months. I MIGHT have a problem.

Hardy and Addie Rivers are most certainly best friends.
Can’t you tell? J

just because.
at some point every stay at home mom has a blog right? J
