Mom I need my Coffee

Tuesday morning I woke up to Barrett jumping out of the bed at 7:15.

The night before we went to basketball games and the 3 of us weren't in bed until 11:00 pm. Talk about a cranky two year old. Needless to say I was thankful today was Tueaday. No school for Rivs so we have a very relaxed day.

AR woke up not long after daddy and I did. She was in a fairly good mood. She saw Barrett running around getting dressed and me running around making his lunch. Once he left we got to sit down, eat breakfast and watch a little Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. As we were eating breakfast she says "mom I need my coffee"

All I could say was "me too baby girl"

I cherish theSe little moments we have in the early mornings drinking our coffee. Or her case milk in a coffee cup. The days seem so long but the years so short.

Thankful me and my sweet girl can have coffee dates. Even if it is at our breakfast table with my keurig coffee.

Wild Rivers

Hello!

We were so happy daddy and Addie Rivers had the day off Monday!
Our day was spent getting stuff ready to do a room swap. Yep AR is moving to Hardy's room and getting a new bed. Hardy is moving to AR's old room AND is he is also getting a new bed. AR's current room will be the boys room. I'm pretty excited about getting it all together but It's a tad over whelming.

Yesterday Addie Rivers and I had an extremely productive day. We had a ton of errands to run, grocery shop, and somehow managed to walk three and a half miles. About three weeks ago I realized Baby Hayes was completely over the running. So walking it is for the next 14 weeks. Yes only 14 weeks until he is here. So today we are taking it easy.

I remember this nesting       thing happening about 8 months with AR. For some reason at 26 weeks this time it has already set it. My house got really clean yesterday. And did I mention I washed bottles? Seriously!? I'm sure Barrett thinks I'm crazy :)

The purpose of this post was to tell you about this headband obsession Rivs is having. Thankfully she still loves her bows but she really likes these headbands too. We have made about 15 and I must admit she looks pretty darn cute in them.

And huge thanks to my mom for coming up with the shop name Wild Rivers.

After AR's love for them and having a few people ask me to make some for them I decided to just go with it. I opened an Etsy store and within a few days I had made a sale.
It's pretty exciting!!

So feel free to go check them out! Lots of cute stuff and more to come.

Little loves

Weekends are by far our favorite but Hardy weekends are hands down the best. Friday we made a 2 and a half hour trip with daddy to watch an away soccer game. I'd say that's true love!
Hardy had tons of questions. "So since my dads the athletic director does that mean he's in charge? Does he coach every sport? So why are we here!?" His little mind just can't grasp that confusing job his daddy does! As AR says her daddy works at a football game. The moment we drive up to the school she says "mama daddy is inside his football game." Him not go to school!" In her mind every time daddy leaves the house for work he's at his football game.
Our weekends are filled with a lot of laughs, a messy house :/ and little sleep. Every other Saturday morning we usually go to Huddle House because it's Hardy's fav. Um I'm not exactly sure I agree! But these kiddos love it. Waking up early to go eat some waffles
"Mama Huddle House is beautiful." Again I don't agree with you AR.. Our Saturday consisted of basketball from 12-6 for daddy. Movies and a ton of play time for Hardy and AR. And some serious sewing time for me. By the time Barrett got home I was exhausted anddddd the house was a wreck. No matter how much I try to keep it clean it's just not happening with two little munchkins inside all day.
Barrett has to remind me that it's fun. They don't always get to make a mess, or stay up way past their bedtimes, or eat m&m's for a snack but the weekend are suppose to be fun. I never thought about how close Hardy and Addie river would be. I knew they would love each other but since they are five years apart it never crossed my mind two years ago how much they would love being around each other. They can play for hours and hours.
And she's finally getting the hang of having to tell him "see ya later" each Sunday. It never gets easier but she somehow now understands that "Hardy be back soon mama!" I'm so thankful they love each other the way they do.

I think I'll just push pause and keep them like this Forever. Yesterday They were meeting each other for the first time and then we blinked.

Hobby Time

The past few post I have had to write from my phone. I LOVE my iphone but not for writing an entire blog post. My computer is completely gone. It takes 500 hundred hours to do one thing on it and everyday I as Barrett to bring his home. He does but 90% of the time I never open it. By the time he gets home, we eat supper, and deal with a two year old I’m never in the mood to get on the computer. But tonight we are doing absolutely nothing. Everyone is in pj’s, Addie Rivers is serving us tea while we watch the lego movie. Perfect time to open the computer! : )

These past few days have been insanely cold. Rivs and I have spent a lot of time in the house and I’m not complaining. Not a fan of the cold. So we have developed this new little hobby of headband making. Rivs told me she was a big girl and big girls wear headbands not bows. I quickly informed her that she can wear headbands but she was nowhere near giving up the bows!!

It has turned out to be really fun for both of us. I love any excuse to go to Hobby Lobby for new fabric! She helped me pick out the ones she liked and I must say she has pretty awesome taste for her two year old self.

She also loves posing in them. I love the little side tilt she does every time I tell her to smile.

Even baby Hayes (the baby doll) had to have a headband. I just hope she doesn’t try to put the real baby Hayes in one of these when he gets here. Daddy would have a fit!

I can’t wait to make more of these cute little things.

Seriously how cute is that fabric she picked out?!

I love all this alone time we have together. I can remember when she was a baby I would think about what her personality would be like. It’s so perfect. Such a strong willed sassy girl!

I hope you’re ready to join this craziness baby Hayes!

Merry Christmas!

I have to start off by saying that Addie Rivers LOVES Christmas. Barrett and I were expecting her to be excited that morning but she totally embraced the Christmas spirit as soon as Thanksgiving was over. She walked around singing Alvin and the Chipmunks every day.

On Christmas Eve Addie Rivers and daddy made a "ginger house" together. Daddy did most of the work! AR just really likes playing with the candy.
And pretending to eat the ginger house.

The finished preject. Daddy was so proud of his work that this ginger house is STILL sitting on our table.
At one point in the night Addie Rivers said. " Best Chrimsums ever!" Which was enough to make this pregnant girl cry! I love how much little things make her happy.

We thought last year was fun when she was One but we had no idea how much she would love it this year!

Every time someone would ask her what she wanted she would say. "A Jessie toy, a bullseye toy, a buzz light year toy and a baby doll."

Santa thought she needed three babies instead of just one.
Every Christmas afternoon we go and pick up our sweet boy and he stays with us until New Years!
And they play and play and play for a week. I love how much they love each other!
I'm so thankful Barrett has a job that allows him to spend a whole two weeks at home with us for Christmas Break. It was filled with lots of lazy time which every one needed!

This will be our last Christmas as a family of four. We can't wait for Barker Hayes to join us!

Next project- a nursery for baby Hayes!
